"I'd like to hear your views on local crime priorities, policing and safety in the community," says Darryl Preston.
"As a candidate in the Cambs and Peterborough Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election, I'd find it very useful if you would take part in my new online crime survey to let me know what you think.
"I've launched it as part of my six-point plan to reduce crime in the region – along with #GetCrimeCut.
"The results will help me to understand how you feel about policing where you live.
“As a former police officer I policed the county, regularly speaking to residents so I'm very aware of communities’ differing crime priorities.
Your views are vital to ensure policing addresses local communities’ priorities.
"The results will also form the basis of my strategic priorities to reduce crime if I’m elected as PCC for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
"As a local resident and former police officer, I'm passionate about the county.
"I've dedicated my life to protecting the public – my motivation has always been to catch criminals, help victims and keep people safe.
"It remains my motivation to be elected as your PCC.
"It's also reflected in my six-point action plan, which includes: reducing crime, safer roads, keeping our rural areas safe, better crime prevention, fighting organised crime and putting communities first."
